New work by Carmen-Sibha Keiso & Billy Coulthurst
30th June – 18th July, 2021
OPENING CELEBRATIONS: WEDNESDAY 30th JUNE 6:00-8:00PM
TCB is pleased to announce ‘porpagé‘ an exhibition by Carmen-Sibha Keiso & Billy Coulthurst .
In an effort to bridge the polarity of their practice methodologies, Propagé intersects Coulthurst and Keiso’s curiosity in the utility of objective functions as stand-in for forms of cultural authority. Questioning both the authenticity and mythos of personal narrative within our contemporary era; they generate stills of theatrical property, wherein the stage prop becomes its own composite suspension of our covert realities.

Both TCB and the artist would like to acknowledge the people of the Kulin Nations as the traditional custodians of the land on which they live and work, recognising the Wurundjeri and Bunurong peoples’ enduring connection to land, waters and community. They pay their respects to Elders past, present and future.
