PART TWO. SOFT EYES

Curated by Pip Wallis

A two-part exhibition on determined indeterminacy. Making a case for intuitive practice as a resolute stance (rather than affect), post-intentionality plays out in two ways in Soft Eyes; as material process and as narrative fragment.

Part One Soft Eyes includes work by artists who use abstract plasticity for its material and metaphorical relationship to the unforeseen.

Part Two Soft Eyes considers associative thinking by following narrative fragments. Idiosyncratic languages of symbolism and floating signifiers collide free of conceptual stacking or reductive frameworks.

Holly Childs’ text is made up of the notes in the notes section of her iphone. It allows the incidental and miscellaneous to construct narrative.
