Mainly Everything is a group exhibition brought together by artists with a mutual respect for each others individual practices. All artists have a passive approach to the media they work within and contain certain mannerisms in their work that is at times patient, precarious, soft-skilled, and transient.
In conjunction with the showing of Mainly Everything, the artists will run a concurrent project as part of Consultancy, a 5 week residency at NGV Studio (NGV Ian potter) being undertaken by Nic Tammens, Matthew Benjamin and Virginia Overell. Other artists involved in Consultancy include Christopher LG Hill, Xin Cheng, Adelle Mills, Rohan Schwartz and Matthew Greaves. It will culminate with a closing event on Friday 16th September 2011 from 6pm.
