PLANTATION comprises a crop of sculptures that are vaguely totemic without any attached ritualism. The figures nod to natural phenomena. They are made from a range of materials: sticks, string, hessian, rocks, wood, banksia, silk and clay. They stand for nothing except themselves.

Angela Brennan is represented by Niagara Galleries, Melbourne and Roslyn Oxley9 Sydney
